Screen Grabs Contents Page

These are screen grabs of my contents page to show the gradual construction of my product. I have changed it over time so that it looks more professional.

Headings Complete

For this first draft of my contents page I have just put the basic headings onto the page so that it is clear what catergories there is.  For this I haven't really done much but it shows the four basic colours I might use and the potential layout. However, I am going to remove the yellow mainly because I want to stick to a three colour palette and the yellow doesn't really do much for the layout anyway. I  was aiming on this first draft just to show the basic layout and whether everything is going to fit on the page.


Headings completed, with subscription information

 For the second draft I didn't really add much except from the subscription information but I think I should have changed the text of this because it isn't as clear as I was aiming for. However, I think that it suits well with the rest of the layout and I stuck to the three colours- black and white, with red in parts. I am going to change the yellow to white and put a background around the subscription information so that it stands out more.

Complete without images

For this draft it shows the full layout based around the images and all that is needed for the images to be put into place and sized well without being pixelated. At the moment I think the category headings are a bit too spaced and large so I am planning on changing this, and it looks quite empty because there is no images and I haven't yet changed the yellow text at the top because I wanted to see what it looked like with the full layout.

Almost Completed Contents Page

For this it is showing the almost complete contents page but the subscription information blends too much into the page so I think that maybe if I was to put a black box around with the text being a different colour then it would stand off the page more. I am planning on playing around with the colours but I am thinking of red text with a white border inside a black box because the text will then be clear due to the size and colours. I have changed the yellow though and I think that it looks better this way because it is more effective and fits the three colour palette.

 

Completed Contents!

This is my completed contents page and I think that it is the best so far but the subscription box stands off the page too much so if I had time to edit this then I would do so. I think it may have looked better a grey-ish colour so its not so dark with a black stroke around it. But overall I think it looks quite professional one it is completed with the images. I think that the images are stretched to the right extent as they aren't blurry and they look clear with article numbers and titles underneath which looks like an actual magazine.
