Images chosen for Contents Page

These are the images in which I have chosen to use for the contents page because I think they are all well suited to the genre and have used good lighting, with the image of the models and products shown clearly. I will create edits of the images so that they are in a collage and not all seperate, I will do this so that they are shown in borders and stand out more, and so that my product contrasts with others of the same genre.

To Show Merchandise, The 'Claim Your Band Merch' Sector

I have used this image of t-shirts from previous concerts and gigs so that it clearly shows that the people who purchases the magazine can win merchandise like this. I chose to use this type of image because it would interest people to buy the magazine if there is a chance they would win free band merch. I am going to use this in a collage to show the page on 'claim your band merch' and I will do this so that it catches the consumers attention.



The poster special part of the Contents Page

I have chose to use this image on the contents page as well as the front page because it is showing a model that is posing but it isn't as well suited to the genre because she isn't wearing rock make-up or clothes but it shows that the magazine is aimed out to anybody not just the stereotypical audience. I have chosen to edit this into black and white instead of colour so it looks like a sophisticated poster and so that it stands out. I will use this as the 'poster special' and it will also be shown in the collage with the page number underneath.

To show the album review section

I have chose this image to show the consumers passion in music as well as the 'album review' section. I think that this will go in the collage once again with the page number underneath. I chose to do an image like this to show that the magazine is mainly about music and it can relate to anyone in which has a passion in music, or music is their life. I think to improve this I could have done it so that there wasn't a slight shadow and so the CD's look better laid out on the shelf, making the photograph better.

The get the Rock Style part of the contents page

I chose to use this image as it is showing the stereotypical view of the target audience as the model is wearing heavy eye-liner and has piercings, often referred to as snake bites. I am using this in the bottom collage on the contents page under the page of 'get the rock style' as it would attract females to wanting to get the style of the rock models and fit into the genre better. I think that the lighting however could have been improved as it looks over exposed because the models nose can barely be seen.

To show my DPS, Access All Areas

I chose to use this image because it has good lighting and it is in a natural location with the model having the stereotypical make-up. It shows a female model doing a rather unusual pose and looks like she is shouting, which shows the 'RIOT' part of the magazine. Basically I chose this image because it is well suited to the magazine and it will encourage people to shine and show their own passion in music because it is possible for anyone. This will be show as the image for the main article on the DPS of 'access all areas' and I will edit this so it has a title underneath but it is seperate to the other images so that it stands out more.
