This is a close up of the eye make-up I am intending on using on my model, however it is not complete. I have decided to do the makeup like this in order to show the rock genre and also to make the models eyes stand out because if it is in the readers eyeline the eyes say a lot about the artist normally. However, looking at the image I have decided in order to improve this I will use two shades of grey for the eyeshadow just to make it stand out more.
This is a close up of the makeup after I had finished it, the attempt of the make-up was not perfect but it shows the basic idea in which I had adapted from another rock magazine and image off google. Originally the eyeliner was just going to be black, to show the basic sophisticated look. However, I think by adding a dash of colour it shows the unique look that each artist has, and also shows their creativity for both their appearance, and this may rub off in the music industy. I just did a basic look for the first practice but to improve I am going to stick to the original designs I have found on the internet.
This is another image to show the complete eyeliner on one side but I have left the other eye so that the difference is made clear. I have also used this close up to show the lip colour I am planning on using for the final product. However, I am thinking of brightening the lip colour so that it stands out more and makes the model look more of a rock chick, and a 'bad girl' who oozes sex appeal.
This shows overall both eyes with the basic eyeliner on to show how different she looks before and after, in my opinion the eyeliner makes the models eyes stand out more so I intend on using this makeup for the actual magazine. I didn't use my creativity part to draw the rest of the eyeliner coming off the eye but I will do this for my magazine. I think the black eyeliner shows the mystery and there is more than what is seen to that model but once I have done the smokey eye look it will add more to this effect and it would show the new fashion, or look. This may influence people to try new things, and that's one of the main reasons behind the photography and model choice in a magazine because people want to resemble them.
Further Images in which will influence my make-up look
Eyeliner Designs |
These are some eyeliner drawings in which I could try drawing off the models eyes to make them stand out and look more of the rock side of the music industry. I think that only the rock side would use makeup that looks like this because they are more daring and full with attitude so it may influence their decision to make something new and take eye make-up to the next level.
Overall Achievable Look |
This is an overall look I am looking to achieve because it resembles some rock artists, for example the pretty reckless. I think this look is very rock chick and it is overall a nice look to show mystery and make the models flawless features stand out. I will try this for the final product.
Influence of Hair and Make-up |
Influence of Hair and Make-up |
These images had both influenced the hair of some of the models I am using because I just generally associated back-combed hair with rock artists, as does most people. I think it is a stereotype of what is expected so I am going to use this. I think that overall the top layer should only be back-combed and I think this means that it is tidy and also it makes the model look more unique in themselves, so people assume like they aren't like any other music act. Also the make-up in both images are similar and this is where I got the basic idea from for my rock magazine because these are people in which enjoy rock music.
